TNSC builds one more ASU in Northern Vietnam
On April 14, Taiyo Nippon Sanso (TNSC)’s Vietnamese corporation named Vietnam Japan Gas Joint Stock Company (President: Haruhiko Yasuga) held a ceremony to inaugurate completion of ASU with an output capacity of 3,000 m3/h for LO2 + LIN; 4,000m3/h for N2 gas at its Hung Yen Plant located in Northern Vietnam which is the second unit built in the district. At the same time a ceremony was also held to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the company.
In 1996 Vietnam Japan Gas Joint Stock Company was established as a joint venture between TNSC and Tomoe Shokai in Dong Nai, Vietnam, and has been expanding the business along with the growth of the Vietnamese economy for a period of 21 years since then. The company has so far possessed 5
ASU plants in the Southern part of Vietnam (two in Bien Hoa, one each in Binh Duong, Mi Xuan and Phu My) and one plant (Hung Yen) in the Northern part.
In Vietnam there has been an increase in direct investments from Japan and other foreign countries year after year. Especially, the transfers of plant from China have caused a rapid growth of demand for industrial gases. In order to cope with the demand, the construction of this ASU started in the middle of 2014 and completed in October 2016. The investment amounted to about 2 billion. The company says that a future plan of investment will be made out depending upon the situation.
In the completion ceremony and the commemorative celebration, about 150 persons attended including the high officials of the regional Government and local business partners. President Ichihara of TNSC addressed in the ceremony saying, “TNSC started the Second Mid-term Business Plan from this year, in which we have placed a target of our overseas sales at 45% or more of total sales amount. We have been reinforcing our business in Southeast Asia, Oceania and India with the regional headquarters in Singapore. Here in Vietnam, we do expect a bigger stride ahead based upon this investment and wish to contribute to the growth of Vietnam.”
