Seikow increases waste gas treatment business by 15.2%

Seikow Chemical Engineering & Machinery of chemical equipment manufacturer is expected to attain its annual sales of estimated 2.5 billion yen in the waste gas treatment business through the year of 2016, which is up 15.2% compared with the previous year.

The equipment manufactured by Seikow is only a wet type applied to an extensive field from the liquid crystal or semiconductor plants to the pickling process in steelmaking and automobile production which is working in Japan.

The sales increase during the fiscal term seems to owe mainly to the renewal of equipment led by the steady trend of plant expansion and the silicon wafer production of the major semiconductor manufacturers.

As for the overseas market, they say there were more enquiries than last year in connection with the movement of Taiwanese manufacturers to build new plants in mainland China, and they will keep an eye on the movements in China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia from now on.

Seikow’s sales result for the fiscal year ending March 2017 is estimated to be 7 billion yen up 6% from last year owing to the increased revenue in the equipment business mentioned above. In the other business, the company handles anti-corrosion pumps and blowers.
