Battery Ventures affiliated Michell Instruments and AII
Battery Ventures, established in 1983 as a global technology-focused investment firm, has been strategically reinforcing the field of infrastructure. In October last year in the field of process sensing technology (PST) it affiliated Michell Instruments of UK which manufactures analyzers of water, dew point, humidity and oxygen, and also Advance Instruments (AII) of USA which manufactures galvanic cell oxygen sensors and analyzers .
Battery Ventures has already acquired more than 40 industrial technology companies in Europe and the US, and is planning to accelerate affiliation in this field. Michell brand lineup of dew point analyzers is so complementary with AII’s oxygen sensors that in Japan, Michell Instruments Japan itself had already concluded agency agreement with AII.
According to the announcement of Battery Ventures, Michell now in the same group globally will be obliged to sell the AII products and to expand the business.
As for the production and brand name of each product will be used successively. Battery Ventures will keep energetic activities to acquire other brands and intends to form a group of analyzing companies with Michell as its core.
