TNSC ties up with UK metal powder supplier for 3D printer

June 14, Taiyo Nippon Sanso announced a business tie-up with LPW Technology (headquartered with a plant in Manchester, managed by Phil Carroll, which is a powder supplier for 3D printers of UK.

LPW established in 2007 is a venture company specialized in the production and supply of metal powders for 3D printers and the development of quality maintaining system and software. Its main customers are manufacturers and processing companies of parts used for airplanes, automobiles or medical fields. In these areas of business category the company is one of the foremost manufacturers.

The distribution centers are located in four countries of UK,
US, Italy and Germany. There is one production center in UK, but another plant is being constructed in the US.

TNSC, in its new mid-term business plan “Ortus Stage 2,” posted the acquisition of new commercial materials and technologies as one of its focused strategies and is now accelerating activities of M&A or tie-up with the companies which boast their own unique power in merchandizes and services.

On May 9, TNSC announced its investment in Optomec of US 3D printer venture, and with the tie-up with LPW at this time TNSC is planning to canvas sales mainly to aircraft and automotive industries using its overseas group companiesjs of the group which can comprehensively handle three business materials of 3D printers, metal powders and gases.
