According to the business performances of the major Korean gas manufacturers 2016 compiled by iGas Journal of our cooperative correspondent in Korea, in the category of air-separation gas manufacturers, the sales amount of Air Products Korea substantially declined to 67.9 billion wons under the influence of the spin-off electronics and materials business (establishment of Versum Materials).

Daesung Industrial Gas rose to the top selling 511.8 billion won, but in January of this year they say the Daesung Group sold the company to MBK Partners through Goldman Sachs and further selling may occur probably.

On the other hand, Linde Korea bought Air Liquide Korea last December attaining a combined sales amount of 544.4 billion wons ranking at top. Furthermore, in the future the Korean market most probably will change greatly with the merger of Linde and Praxair.
