SDK has established a branch of its subsidiary Shanghai Showa Chemicals in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

The branch office was built up in the premises of Wuhan Hengjidaxin International Chemical Storage Co., Ltd., located at No. 1, Fifth Huagong Road, Wuhan Chemical Industrial Park, Wuhan. 　

Wuhan Hengjidaxin possesses a license of dangerous chemicals warehouse which makes it possible to store high-pressure gases in its store. Therefore, they rented a room for office on lease to establish a branch.

The branch is going to store specialty gases and high-purity solvents to respond quickly to the needs for gases and solvents in Wuhan City where there are remarkable entries of semiconductor and display manufacturers.

For Shanghai Showa Chemicals, on the other hand, it will make a second local sales and logistic base following the one in Shanghai. The branch plays an important role in terms of establishment of a stable logistic network with spreading of storing places.
　
SDK commented about the business plan of the branch saying, “We aim at a growth rate of 1.8 times per year until 2021 for the sales in Wuhan” although no concrete sales target was disclosed.
