Vietnam Japan Gas builds new ASU in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province
Taiyo Nippon Sanso (TNSC)’s Vietnamese subsidiary Vietnam Japan Gas (VJG) is planning to build a new air separation unit in the Phu My 3 Industrial Zone which is located near Ho Chi Minh in southern Vietnam. The unit is scheduled to be completed sometime in the middle of 2019.
The new unit is aimed for responding to supply by pipeline to the Korean non-ferrous manufacturer and the local electric furnace manufacturer. The planned capacity of production is 5,000 Nm3/h of liquid oxygen and nitrogen in total.
With this investment VJG will have five bases to produce gases with a total of seven air separation units. Two units have already been operated in the Phu My industrial zone. The new unit is the third one.
The Phu My 3 Industrial Zone is an authorized industrial complex in collaboration of Japanese and Vietnamese governments. It is expected that mainly Japanese and other foreign companies will advance into the zone. This capital investment may have something to do with such future prospects.
