HAMAI cylinder valve for SPGs selling well in Korea
Hamai Industries of high pressure gas valve manufacturer enjoys good sales of its stainless steel valve for specialty and high-purity gases in Korea.
The cylinder valve so called Tied Diaphragm Valve has a feature of higher Cv value and excellent purging effects with the structure to reduce the dead space in comparison with the ordinary type of diaphragm valve (as per Hamai’s comparison list). It is used as the type of stainless steel valve for specialty gases abroad.
Hamai started to produce tied-diaphragm valves 10 years ago, and was selling them at first to the domestic users. Responding to the overseas needs six years ago, Hamai developed the valve applying its own special flat seat of plastic to the seat part and named it “EGVN.” Since then Hamai has been selling it mainly in Korea where the semiconductor industry is growing. In 2013, Hamai set up a production base in Pusan, Korea named “Hamai Korea” fully owned overseas corporation in order to cover the Korean and Chinese markets. Hamai Korea plays a main role to produce and sell EGVN for overseas customers.
Ever since the establishment of Hamai Korea the production and sales have been steadily growing, and last year the sales of EGVN grew mainly to the gas producers and cylinder manufacturers of Korea and China.
Hamai takes a posture to enhance sales in the Asian market from now on. The Sales Division says, “There are some Korean gas producers that build plants in other countries. The demand of the EGVN is increasing among mainly Asian customers. We would like to develop the Asian market in tie-up with Hamai Korea.”
They also have a plan to increase the lineup items of Hamai Korea’s production in next year, and are so ambitious to say, “We wish to raise overseas sales to two times more than the present amount.”
