Masahiro Toyoda Decorated with Order of Rising Sun, Gold & Silver

Masahiro Toyoda Chairman and CEO of Air Water received a decoration of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver in the autumn conferring of decorations 2018. Chairman Toyoda aged 85 was born in December 1932, graduated from Faculty of Law of Kyoto University and entered former Daido Sanso in 1957. He assumed the post of chairman and CEO of Air Water in 2015 after his careers of COO of former Daido Hokusan in 1999 and president of Air Water in 2000 and vice chairman in 2001. As for the industrial association, he assumed chairmanship of the Japan Industrial and Medical Gases Association (JIMGA) from 2010 to 2014. Since June 2014 he has been serving the group as an advisor.

He commented, “The conferring of this decoration of Order is quite an honor far more than I deserve. I greatly owe this to and thank all those who have led me and worked together having the same aspiration with myself who devoted for over 60 years to the industrial gas world which supports the manufacturing industries of Japan. It is also my great pleasure that I could contribute to the domestic industries with innovations and new business models feeling all the time in the front line the transitions from the prosperity of the smokestack industries to the rise of electronics industries and then to the advancement to globalization. I am going to endeavor to develop our company aiming at an eternally growing concern in the future, and wish to contribute even a little to the development of society and economy.”
