AWI to complete VSU in Kameyama in October 2021

On November 29, Air Water concluded an agreement with Kameyama City on the site location to install a VSU of compact type to generate liquids in the industrial complex of Kameyama City.

The construction of the new plant is planned to start in April 2020 and complete in October 2021. Though the plant size has not been decided yet, they say it will be larger than that of Tokai Ekisan (700 Nm3/h for LO and 1,600 Nm3/h for LIN) located in the Chubu area. The industrial complex is adjacent to Sharp’s Kameyama Plant and is located at the hub of transportation between the Chubu and Kinki Areas.

Air Water has been pursuing to improve the capability to supply liquids in the Chubu Area since long ago. With the installation of the second VSU at this time, it is expected that the long-distance transportation from the Kinki Area could be mitigated and the BCP function can be enhanced.

Renewal of Chubu AWI Filling Station to Double Capacity

Chubu AWI is planning to renew the head office and filling station located in the Midori-ku of Nagoya City. The aged structure of the head office will be broken down to expand the filling facility to double its capacity. The planned time of completion is June 2020. It is aimed to expand the scale of business in the Tokai Area.

The types of gases for filling are the same as before, namely six items of oxygen, medical oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbonic acid and ELNACKS. With the renewal at this time, two units of cold evaporator for medical oxygen and ELNACKS are added to the existing five units of CE.

Although the filling capacity of each type of gas after renewal has not been disclosed, they intend as a whole to enhance mainly the filling volume of welding gases like nitrogen, argon or ELNACKS, so that the filling capacity may be raised up to about two times of the existing plant.

As for the source of gas, they get a supply mainly from Tokai Ekisan and also Clio Air for back-up, but in the future the said new VSU will be a source of supply.

Furthermore, to make the filling station suitable for prevention of disasters AWI is going to adopt a layout of the facility taking into account a fall-proof measure using a pallet system for storing/moving cylinders with more effective workability.
