On December 21, 2018 Air Water affiliated Yamamura Ika Kikai which deals with the medical equipment in the field of neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery.

Air Water has also affiliated medical equipment distributors like Ohmori Kikaiten and Nishimura Kikai which are competitive in the field of circulatory organ.

The acquisition of the shares at this time is intended to enrich the lineup of the business which includes some items not handled yet, and to expand AWI’s sales channel of medical business sources.

In addition, it is intended as AWI’s policy to reinforce the network in the group including the exchange of information between the medical equipment distributors.

Yamamura Ika Kikai was established in March 1991 having 6 employees and its sales amounted to 700 million yen at the fiscal term ending August 2018.
