ALJ Kagoshima Oxyton Replaces ASU with High-efficiency One
In order to reinforce its gas supplying capability and enhance the environmental responses in the Kyushu Area, Air Liquide Japan (ALJ) will replace one of the current air separation units (ASU) with the latest high-efficiency type in Kokubu Plant of Kagoshima Oxyton which is ALJ’s on-site liquid production base in Southern Kyushu. At the moment the design has been completed and the construction is planned to start within 2019. No information of the capacity, improved range for production efficiency or invested amount is disclosed.
From the viewpoint of environmental protection, the Air Liquide group has a target to reduce the carbon intensity more than 30% by 2025 comparing with that in 2015. The investment is in line with the target.
ALJ is planning to optimize its supply by means of up-grading ASU, enhancing efficiency and introducing IoT technologies and aims to reduce the energy consumption.
