AWI started to construct 4th drinking water plant
“On September 3, Air Water (AWI) started to construct a new plant in Shinano Ohmachi which is the 4th one in its water business under way.
The scheduled start of production and delivery is April 1, 2013, and a monthly output is expected to be 250 thousand bottles (12 liter per bottle).
AWI’s water business initiated at the production of drinking water in use of reverse osmosis membrane in Sapporo, Hokkaido and Yoshikawa, Saitama Prefecture in June 2004, and it was followed by the plant using the by-product distilled water from seawater in Sakaide, Kagawa Prefecture in July 2011. This time, therefore, AWI is going to have the 4th plant, in which it will carry out bottling of natural water taking advantage of the abundant water resources in the Northern Alps district.
The AWI group is developing a few business operations related to agriculture and food in the Shinano District of Nagano Prefecture, including the cultivation of vegetables and production of vegetable juices. AWI is expecting to have a synergy effect with the group’s business developments in the future.”
