Honeywell agreed with Sanhua Holding Group, a Chinese major device-parts manufacturer, to promote the diffusion activities of Honeywell’s new refrigerant R466A.

R466A (registered trade name: SOLSTICE N41) was developed to be a substitute of R410A. It is characteristic with its low GWP 65% less than that of R410A and the combustion property classified as non-combustible Class A. Honeywell is planning to start to sell the refrigerant at the end of this year.

The Sanhua Holding Group is a manufacturer which engages in supplying globally the control devices and their parts for air-conditioning and freeze/refrigerating equipment, household appliances and car air-conditioner. It is said that more than 50 million solenoid and mechanical valves are being supplied every year for the air-conditioning, freezing/refrigerating and automobile industries.

With this agreement Sanhua proceeds with evaluation for approval to use Solstice N41 for the devices and parts of its air-conditioning and freezing/refrigerating equipment. In addition, with the completion of the evaluation within this year, Sanhua is planning to build up quickly a supplying system of the devices and parts which are compatible with the new refrigerant to the world air-conditioning and freezing/refrigerating equipment manufacturers.
