Iwatani appoints Hiroshi Majima as New President

 Iwatani will replace the president with effect from April 1. Hiroshi Majima of the current member of the board vice-president will assume the president.
Mitsuhiro Tanimoto of the current president will retire to be a member of the board and advisor, and will no longer be a board member after the coming shareholders’ meeting in June to become an advisor.
Regarding the personnel replacement at this time, the company explained that President Tanimoto has been suffering an array of health problems since last October, and proposed to retire to end three years’ office though he made efforts for physical recovery.
 Majima newly appointed as president is 61 years old born on July 3, 1958, who graduated from the Welding Engineering Faculty of Osaka University in March 1981 and entered Iwatani in April of the year.

June 2012 – Nominated as Executive Officer, Member of the Board
