Hamai Sells More SPG Valves with Korean Affiliate
In tie-up with Hamai Korea a local affiliate in Korea, Hamai Industries of high-pressure gas valve manufacturer is now reinforcing the sales of valves for SPG gases.
Hamai Korea is a local corporation established in 2013 with a 100% investment by Hamai, headquartered with plant in Pusan handling SPG gases, high purity gases, cylinder valves and high-pressure equipment valves for piping.
Particularly focused for reinforcement is a tied-diaphragm valve developed for corrosive gas cylinders. In comparison with the conventional valves, the valve has a 60% less dead space inside the valve in order to improve a purge performance and an anti-corrosion property.
At first Hamai used to produce the valve in its Fuchu Plant and exported to Korea. To cope with the boomed demand, it started to produce also in Hamai Korea from last year. Hamai Korea is now making a proposal to Korean gas producers, and in fact the valve is steadily being delivered as an SPG cylinder valve for the major semiconductor manufacturers. Based on the experience, Hamai is now actively promoting to sell the valve to Japanese SPG producers.
Hirofumi Kawanishi of Hamai’s deputy sales division manager is ambitious to say, “We wish to expand sales in Japan and Korea, taking advantage of our position having a production base in Korea.”
