Iwatani Opens H2 Station at 10 Locations Soon

Iwatani is going to open ten H2 stations from April to July of this year.

The stations to be opened at this time are those at 10 locations consisting of 4 in the Kanto Area (Tokyo, Saitama, Gunma, and Kanagawa prefectures), 4 in the Chubu Area (Shizuoka and Aichi prefectures) and 2 in the Kansai Area (Kyoto and Osaka prefectures). Adding those new stations, a total of 38 H2 stations will be operated by Iwatani domestically.

Iwatani has been saying openly to develop 30 H2 stations within three years from 2018 to 2020 and is steadily implementing the planned development of station across the country. At the moment it has been decided officially to develop 136 H2 stations for commercial purposes across the country.

The government’s H2/FC Roadmap posted a development plan of H2 stations at 160 locations within the year of 2020, and now only less than 30 locations remain to accomplish the planned target.

It now draws people’s attention how many more stations Iwatani will make a bid for development in the year of 2020.
