AWI’s 19th VSU of Yamagata Ekisan in Operation
On June 1, a high-efficiency small-sized VSU of LO/LIN was completed and put in operation by AWI and AWI’s group company Yamagata Ekisan (located in Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture with a capital of 50 million yen invested 50% by Tohoku Air Water, 25% by Yamagata Sanso, 20% by Air Water and 5% by Yasumitsu Sangyo) which had been under construction.
The output capacity of the VSU is 600Nm3/h for LO and 1400N m3/h for LIN. A cylinder filling plant and Tohoku AW Yamagata Branch had already been established and put in operation from April. The lineup of the cylinder filling plant have been set to include oxygen, medical oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and mixture gas.
It is the 19th unit put in operation across the country and the 3rd one in the Tohoku Area following Fukushima Ekisan and Iwate Ekisan.
The Air Water Group aims to cut transportation costs by shortening the carrying distance and reduce the emission of CO2, and also to expand a back-up system over the Tohoku Area, so that a stable supply network can be established leading to an industrial and medical contribution regionally.
