ALJ Opens H2 Station in Nakagawa, Nagoya
On July 9, Air Liquide Japan opened “ALJ Nagoya Nakagawa H2 Station” in Nakagawa Ward of Nagoya City.
The H2 station was built as a subsidized project on the development of H2 supply system for FCV 2019 adopted by the Next-generation Vehicle Promotion Center and also Aichi Prefectural Government’s subsidization on the development of H2 station.
Japan H2 Mobility (JHyM) is a general partnership company for the station, which is now ALJ’s sixth station in joint operation with JHyM.
The H2 supply capacity of the station is 300Nm3/h with an off-site system adopting a filling method packaging a compressor and an accumulator.
ALJ has so far been managing nine H2 stations, four of which are located in Aichi Prefecture. It follows that the development at this time is ALJ’s fifth one in the prefecture.
Another two projects already subsidized to support the development of H2 supply system for FCV for this year are also planned to be located inside Aichi Prefecture.
Among the FCVs prevailing across the country about one third of them have been registered in Aichi Prefecture. The developed number of H2 stations is 26, which is ranked top among 47 prefectures including the major metropolitan areas.
ALJ, keeping an eye on the expected further diffusion of FCV, puts focus upon the demand inside Aichi Prefecture to develop more stations.
ALJ says, “For an earlier accomplishment of independent H2 stations in future, it will be important to have a self-filling system of H2 soon. By means of concentrating the development of stations to a certain nominated area, we wish to verify a business model to operate stations using such a way of management as a remote monitoring system.”
