Iwatani Capital Tie-up with Regenerative Medicine Venture having 3D Printing Technology

On July 7, Iwatani reached a capital and business tie-up with CyFUSE of regenerative medicine venture which has its own stacking technology on 3D printing of cells. Any detail of invested amount or rate is not disclosed.

CyFUSE is a university-led venture, having patented technologies to mold cells three-dimensionally with a 3D printer, which draws our expectation for its contribution to such regenerative medicines as revascularization, cartilage regeneration and nerve regeneration.

Iwatani supplies necessary gases for storage or transport of cells like liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide with the provision of cryogenic cylinders.

Positioning the regenerative and cell medicine fields at a new gas-related market, Iwatani is planning to reinforce its business activities, particularly putting emphasis upon the collaboration with universities and research institutions. In May of this year, a donation course was opened in Osaka University to which Iwatani also sent a lecturer.
