Resonac transfers exhaust gas abatement equipment business in Japan and Taiwan to Taiyo Nippon Sanso
Resonac has reached an agreement with Taiyo Nippon Sanso to transfer of their all exhaust gas abatement equipment related business operated in Japan and Taiwan, including sells, manufacturing and maintenance services. The transaction is expected to be completed at the end of June of this year.
The amount of sales price has not been revealed. But according to the company, the impact on the financial performance is small. They will continue the business in China.
As a part of business restructure, Resonac decided to sell that business.
In terms of the business in Japan, Resonac entered into contracts for the absorption company split of the business to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Clean-S Showa, followed by the transfer of all issued shares in the Target Company to Taiyo Nippon Sanso, and the transfer of the Business from Resonac’s subsidiary, Resonac Specialty Gas Taiwan, to Taiyo Nippon Sanso’s subsidiary Taiyo Nippon Sanso Engineering Taiwan.
Resonac developed the adsorbent using activated carbon in 1983.
In 2000, the company succeeded from Hitachi the catalytic exhaust gas abatement system business and was involved in the business in Japan, Taiwan and China.
For the revenue of the equipment business for FY2023 is expected to become around ¥2.8 billion, down by around 20% over the previous year due to the sluggish demand in overseas.
Taiyo Nippon Sanso will expand the products lineup thanks to the transfer to lead that to strengthening the promotion in Japan and Taiwan.
