Favorable global market predicted in 2021 for specialty gases for electronic device manufacturing

Manufacture of semiconductors and other electronic components remains at a high level globally, creating vigorous demand for specialty gases. Overall, Japan's major chemical producers, the world's largest suppliers of specialty gases, have increased production.

This trend is expected to continue into 2021. The demand for semiconductors is apparent in shortages, such as the tight supply of semiconductors for automobiles. The cause is said to be the huge investments made in data systems by the USA and China. As telecommuting progresses during the Covid-19 crisis, demands have increased for a faster processing and a greater storage capacity of data for these IT applications as well.
